Any director, whether he conducts a business, a department or a project, faces the situations listed below:
#Chaos
You do not know what to do and how to act, what tasks were done wrong and who performed them, what are the results of your team's activity, or you can no longer be aware of what is happening in the company at all.
Chaos is not good for the work of a director. He must be the one who establishes the directions of movement and coordinates the process from A to Z and can say exactly at what stage a certain project is.
#Full Stop
Blockages occur in both larger and smaller companies. There is no way an activity can go on without blockages for years, unless this activity does not mean sitting on a chair doing nothing. Even in such situations, physiological needs can overwhelm you.
The law of nature also applies in business. A director is often meant to explain why they got there and, more importantly, how this blockage can the team overcome it. Last but not least, he is the one who presents the result to the founder or senior manager.
#Unexpected challenges
It’s when you have a well-established plan, the ideal head-to-tail map and then, something unexpected happens. Well, even in this situation, the director has no excuse. Why didn't he think about crisis management?
What is certain is that the unexpected challenges are just waiting for us around the corner, timing the right moment to come out on us.
#Comfort zone
Why do we believe that the comfort zone is a confrontation? Because once a director gets into it, he is no longer looking for opportunities for growth and development. The comfort zone can generate that break that the competitor will use to overtake you. It does not allow you to generate unique solutions, which offer a wider opening of the business, project or the team you lead.
#Rapid growth
This is the fifth situation in which a good director will inevitably find himself. He generated this growth, followed it and now he will have to coordinate it.
But do you know how a high-speed car works when the maneuver is uncalculated? Increasing speed forces business and team drivers to be careful and accurately choose the movements they make. Although they can reach the desired point faster, the blows generated by actions or inactions can become fatal.
Any of the images described above represent a confrontation. One can't say that any of these situations isn’t hard to manage, doesn't disturb the peace of mind or is easily solved. We hope that, when you, as an entrepreneur, face them, you’ll be more ready to do what has to be done!
